Kuwait and Oman discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation and signed new agreements during the 11th session of the Kuwait-Oman Joint Committee held in Muscat on Monday.

The meeting was co-chaired by Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Omani Foreign Minister Bader Al-Busaidi, with senior officials from both countries participating.

According to Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions covered cooperation in a range of sectors including the economy, development, trade, industry, investment, customs, food security, education, media, tourism and culture.

The two sides also reviewed collaboration between institutions and government bodies in both countries and explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral ties through greater strategic partnership and integration.

The ministry said the talks reflected the commitment of both countries’ leaderships to deepen cooperation and expand relations across multiple sectors.

The session concluded with the signing of the minutes of the 11th Joint Committee meeting, a memorandum of understanding on cybersecurity cooperation and an executive program for a standardisation agreement covering the period from 2026 to 2030.
